Salvador Dali Museum in Figueres is unusual, quirky, eccentric and mysterious like his author. Small rooms are full of surprises which can detect only the most attentive visitors. There you can see the strange sculptures, the optical effects, the still life, confirming the Freud's theory, the symbolic images, which were obsessing Dali since his childhood. The museum reproduces  the illusory theatrical world of Dali, where the real objects turn out to be just a figment of his imagination, where the images appear and disappear, where we can learn to look and to see. Just half an hour from Girona, among the quiet green meadows is located the small village of Púbol. The medieval castle of Pubol was  the kingdom of Gala - Dali's wife and muse.
The atmosphere surrounding this extravagant couple is still preserved. Here you can see the original furniture, the personal items, Gala's clothes, the cars - it allows a better understanding of the private life of the great artist.
